Yea break in oil is nastttyyyy. I'm doing oil and coolant at 500 miles. So far I have 6.0 miles on my rebuild. I can def hear the porting It sounds more like a Rotary and less like a girlie mobile. Still having hard starts and **** idle (might be gunked pluges).

We sill see what the dyno puts down for both our cars.

I think we both have the same parts except ill be running headers and a RB gen III tune.

I'm really curious to see what we both put down.

Hmm I didn't know that. So we basically have the same exact mod list but built and ported differently.

hmmmm.

Not sure what to make of it, but it is what it is. I'm happy. I used the lower maintenance nipples off the LIM.

I was thinking of using those as well I just dont know if youd get an accurate read since at that point the manifold is split.

Not sure if that matters.

John16g suggested using the vfad pot on the upper manifold.

I'll measure there tonight. I have a zip tie around the VFAD nipple holding my rubber cover on.

Ceramic seals need time to seat, it will come up over time

they will still never seal at idle as well as OE, but they seal much better as the revs come up ie where it counts

Everything seals better as revs increase.

Sorry for the delay on the dyno results. I'm waiting for my BHR coils and I am changing intakes. I have my idle and cruise logs complete now, just never sent them to Jeff.

Coils shipped and the intake is being boxed up. I really don't want to waste Jeff's time with a tune that will change because I changed intakes. Give me a few more weeks.

What intake are you going to? AEM? You have/had the RB Revi right.

Also, congrats on your build. Been following for quite a while. Exact same setup Im looking to do when my motor loses compression.

Cant wait to see the dyno.

Intake and coils go on Tuesday. I'll be in Chicago come Friday and thru next week. I'll need to ask a favor of MM and the BHR crew to get this build tuned by the 31st. In fact, I wonder if I can schedule a virtual dyno tune with Jeff? It would be cool to have Internet access from my car sitting on the rollers. I could send my logs to MM and get an instant map back to dyno. Now that would be cool.
