How many runs and how long per car would you estimate? I can probably make it as long as I'm home by 4 or 5 o'clock. We have our Holiday party that night (we're a retail company so we wait until Jan.) so I'll have to get all fancied up.

 

I'm a "definite maybe" at this point. If I'm in town I'd love to do it!

 

Each car gets enough runs to tell if the runs will all be the same or not. 2-4? typically. I think after a 2nd IDENTICAL run, there's no need to pull anymore.

2 two runs, then ask to do a FULL throttle 1st-6th gear run! :D

Whoops, forgot to quote the list. This was a blast last year, just hanging out. Unfortunately I'd just started my current job and couldn't afford to make the pulls.

 

This is so tempting because I really want to get my car on the dyno before any real mods get put on. But not sure I want to drive 4 hours one way though.

 

Can I just come and watch? I can afford it, but not sure there is a point to do it since my 8 is stock . I'll bring coffee though!

I have the worst luck at CarbConn..... Well anywhere on a dyno it seems.

Maybe I will be lucky with no warranty......

It can be useful if you plan to upgrade. You get a baseline number now when it's stock and then go back to the same dyno after you've had your mods installed to see how much you(hopefully) gained.

 

Im down, Im curious to see what I have with my green air intake filter and HKS exhaust.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I'm busy working on Saturday don't have time between my two jobs to get up there and back in time for the next one. LOL!

Does anyone mind if I post this at the-winding-road so other interested parties can join in the deal, or does everyone prefer it be an RX8club only event. I'm sure the guys at the shop would prefer more vehicles so they make more money, but I know it's nice to do RX-8 only stuff too.

 

Unless something gets setup really soon at ground zero then I'm was planning to join you guys with my 8 and a friend with his volvo s60.
