The other two cars did not do so well. The Top mount turbo, I had to swap out the ignition on. Still needs some spark plugs.
And the SC 8 has some interesting issue at about 6000 rpm. It goes lean, like 14.7afr lean, and then back to normal without a hicup.
Neither obtained the power I had hoped. So back to the drawing board.

new RX-8 owner. would like a second opinion
Hi. I'm a total car geek and a new RX-8 owner.
I recently got my new (to me) 04 RX-8. I've been scouring the forums to answer a lot of my questions. I still think there is too much play in the drive line. When I get on or off the gas there is definitely movement. I've replaced the engine mounts, adjusted the PPF. Still clunky. I've taken it to both University and Lee Johnson, and they can't seem to isolate it.
I'd love to, perhaps, meet up with another owner and get a second opinion. I live in Bellevue and work in Seattle.
Anyone interested? Please let me know
Alan

No, I don't think they did. That would make sense, as any rotational motion would be exaggerated on and off load.
I get the idea of a driveshaft U-joint. But when you say diff, what are you referring to? the diff itself, or a connected part?
And, I suppose I should ask, how does one check the drive shaft and dif. I see from various posts, that the U-joints are integral with the OEM shaft. It wouldn't take a whole lot of play to be felt through the driveline and it would be exagerated the further you went away from the broken piece? I jacked up the rear and played with moving the wheel while in 2nd gear, but I don't think it told me anything
Thanks for the suggestions and help!

Thinking about taking a cruise this Sunday. Gonna bring my GoPro and camera. If anyone wants to join. I'll post up a event thread. Not looking to do much other than enjoy the fall scenery.

Thinking about putting a meet together for next month? I have been wanting to eat some deep dish pizza and found a place in Seattle. It had some pretty good ratings. Kylie's Chicago Pizza was the name of the place.

I never knew that place was there. If I can't make it I will definately stop by. I've been looking for a deep dish pizza place
My favorite spot is Talarico's in West Seattle. Gigantic pizza by the slice, made to order and a salad. Doesn't get much better.
