Carbon hoods and trunks are constructed in a manner of one layer of carbon followed by either two layers of like 10oz fiberglass cloth. While it's black it's because they add a black pigment with the polyester.

It smells like fiberglass because carbon is laminated exactly the same.

You probably bought the wrong car Having said that we are getting close to seeing those type of numbers from more owners. There have been a few 8s already that have surpassed the 400whp mark with the Renesis. 300whp used to be really difficult to hit but we are seeing more 8s hitting it and going past it. I'm fairly certain I'm at least 300whp and 250 ft lb but will know for sure in a few weeks. Once dondo works out his issue he will be 300+whp.

no i love my car, i knew what i was getting into, i bought it for the handling, not necesarily the straight line speed, thats what my project car is for.

City MPG is down. Hwy is too but have not run a tank to empty yet to determine how much. It is not as bad as a city though.
