Heading out to the garage for some minor tweaking. Swapping in new LED brake lights, cleaning up the engine bay and working on the new gauges a bit. Then need to take some data logs for MM. Anyone else working on their cars over the weekend?
YEah, worked on my car with Dondo. Traded MAFs and Exhausts to see if he's going to fix his car through testing, and installed my HIDs in my D2S's and my Fogs. SOOOO KEWL! And convinced Dondo to go to V-Leds and pimp out his ride.
^ but all that got me so far was an ABS and DSC light when I touch the throttle...
edit: which is apparently what happens when you mess with the 3rd brake light according to a post from easy...
how did other people install theirs?

I'm such an idiot. I was chatting with pdx and said it's the first time in a while that my car seems to have nothing wrong with it. No leaks, no sounds, no smells. The next day my friggen clutch goes out!!! So I had to put my car on a flatbed for the first time. The clutch is only a few months old put in by the dealership when the swapped the engine, so it should be covered, but still!
Dondo, some have had that issue, some haven't. Not sure why that is. All my brake lights are LED and I get no warning lights. Using one of V-LEDS load resistors for bulb out warning fix should do the trick. I'm not sure which one (they sell a 10W and a 25W) but I'm sure if you are going up there, they can get you hooked up. Or email James at tech support and he can tell you which one you need.
how many miles are on that excedy? not sure how much or how hard you drive but it seems like a premature failure to me.
anyways I have a question, maybe you guys could quickly answer, I help a friend install a carbon fiber trunk and hood, I have never seen carbon fiber in person, but what he got was not what I expected, it looked like carbon fiber but the under side looked like fiberglass, is this a knock off, or is this what carbon fiber looks like,
Fiber Carbon?
Fiber Glass?
I agree,

Cheaper "carbon fiber" parts can be fiberglass wrapped in a layer of CF. What brand parts?

Brand is XCELERATED CONCEPTS, I can't find a webpage but they are based our of canada I think.
it just looked like fiber glass on the inside, and it smells like fiberglass when its cut, it looks like fiberglass parts with a carbon fiber wrap then clear coated, the underside and top side is smooth
its just the inside area looks like fiberglass, still looks good, just learning about the stuff.
personally I will never buy any body parts in carbon fiber...
