towing my car to Salk lake city now shouuld be there by 7. It started this morning but then died again... I'll update when I know.

Hey! UrbanOcho and I just made it to her place in San Diego!! 
HOWEVER... the trip from Vegas to Barstow was a NIGHTMARE. Stop and go traffic all the way... My car did NOT do well in the heat over 90 degrees. Total loss of power, rocks in the blender noises, hard to make it to 60 mph. THANK GOD it didn't die on me... but we had to drive in the right lane with the SLOW trucks all the way to Barstow. Michele deserves a medal for hanging in there with me!
Once the temp got below 90, my car started doing better. We stopped in Barstow to gas up again and let the cars sit in the shade while we had ice cream and pie to drown our/my sorrows. Got back on the road with 84 degrees and it acted like a totally different car. I kept the A/C off just in case. We FLEW to Michele's - 80-85 mph most of the way, and my mileage was awesome. I haven't done my coils yet, so, knock on wood that I make it home ok, I'll get them done asap. Oh.. no problems with hot starts, which I was sort of expecting.

i had a set put in 6 months before vegas 3 years ago.
before i made it home they were shot. same as you
no power when hot, going up hill was worse.
this year and last, i had no problems.
unless you plan on going to another hot climate dont worry about
them they will work great in low temps

car turned on but i m scared to drive it so at a mazda dealership and they are looking at it right now. hopefully it turns out its the motor!! or something they can fix really quick so i can get home. if not i may be selling them the car and flying home

I SWEAR TO GOD! I am going to meet up with your folks someday! I was sure enough there in Vegas while you were, but I was in a conference all week that just fried me. By Friday I was looking forward to the Seafood buffet at the Rio, which was awesome BTW- and by then I was hanging. No car of my own to track people down, and I didn't want to take any long cab rides off the strip.
So I really wasn't trying to be antisocial, I swear.
Now that the school year is over, I should be able to make it to a Dick's meet up! I always have some show to go to or some such thing (OFFSPRING tomorrow! Showbox SoDo!) but I want to make it to Dick's first and pick brains about my car.
I defer to you experts and want some sage words of advice.
BTW if anyone out there like 80s music, let me know- I know a few local bands that do pretty good work of that stuff. Tonight, **** Chung is being opened by a friend's band, Love Vigilantes (New Order tribute) at El Corazon!

so the car... they are pretty sure its the motor but its mazda making them do god knows how many tests to test everything first. so they have to order me a cat which will take 2 days. ughh i think ill be getting a rental car and heading back to vegas with my bro in law or gonna hit Colorado where my fam is vacationing till my car is done.. lame

The Rio is a $7.00 cab ride from the In & Out........It would not have been too expensive for the ride over.....there were several cars with only the driver.....

Night life in vegas does not start until after 9pm. Our get together was designed to get food into your system so you could party all night 
......If we had the get together later no one would/could show up

Night life in vegas does not start until after 9pm. Our get together was designed to get food into your system so you could party all night ......If we had the get together later no one would/could show up
