To fix all that?!!! That seems way too low.

It was $8400 to fix my front end when it ended up under an the back of an SUV and I had far less damage than that. They replaced my hood, bumper cover, license plate mount, license plate, and a tiny bit of frame work to the bumper support (they said it wasn't even out of spec but they could tell it wasn't perfectly the way it was before so they fixed it too). I mostly just had damage from the spare tire mounted on the back of the SUV that crumpled my hood and the top part of the bumper and then some strange hook thing punctured a hole through my license plate and the mount for it. No other damage, not even a headlight!

Hell, it was even $1200 to replace my bumper cover and one of the foam things under it when some dumbass backed into me at a gas station last Thanksgiving and punched a hole in it with his trailer hitch! Yes, my poor car sounds like it's been tortured, but at least none of those were my fault. LOL

Well his insurance company offered me a bit more. Car got its wiring/electrical problem figured out. Its on the verge of a total. Car should be off to the body shop to confirm that within the next few days.

Now I wait to see if its total and I can wrangle an FD.

Be prepared for the Financial Disaster haha

Hit me up if you need a seat mount that gives you ample head and leg room.

Hey Brad, make sure you make a Loss in Value claim as well. Your car is probably going to drop another 4-5k in worth if they make this big of a repair.

^+1 Definitely claim loss of value.

$7575.20 seems really low. What did you find out from your body shop?

more opening of the body?
if any cutting has been done, it's almost a definite that it won't be totalled.

Brad, I am interested in the steering wheel and the underbody braces if you do total it. oh, and the wheels perhaps? I do not know if they will fit on your future FD or not

Thumbs up

Its being fixed. I have an option about also picking up an FD. Nothing is set in stone. After thinking about it for awhile it was smart to just have the car fixed instead of pushing a total.

The exact same thing happend to me while I was driving the S40 a while ago! Some *** thought that if the left hand turn lane light turns green, he has the right to plow his huge Ram 3500 into the back of my poor car. I think he managed to run over it. I was just standing at a red light and heard the rear of my car get crumpled by some fat lame truck. It was rediculous, insurance covered it all but the car never drove the same.

Also, avoid the bodyshops near Alderwood, I've had issues or heard of issues with them. The one that fixed mine, left the Volvo just sitting on the side of the street x.x
