It's just a flesh wound

I left work today and was heading to get some Subway (trying to drop some pounds, not fast enough autocrossing).

Than this happened...

Far as details. Im being very vague till all this goes through.

I stopped at a yellow light and was stopped still and a guy thought I was going for it and didnt realize how great the Rx8 brakes are. I had about a second or two dead stop before I heard him on the brakes. Looked up saw him coming right for me, said "**** me". BANG! My current state is im able to type this atm, leave it at that. Hope it can be repaired and they dont total it out. If they do I hope I can strip the mods off. If you have advice PM me.

Ouch! You okay....any whiplash?
What the hell hit you!
Were you stopped?

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Now the car won't even turn over so I can move it out of the driveway. On the way home the windows wouldn't move and the cluster did not work.

Glad to hear you can type (seeing how no other health report has been given). If it does total, they should give you market value for the car. If you paid it off, then you could potentially just get another one?

Hope you heal quickly though, sorry to hear this happened but am glad to hear that you are safe!

It will hurt worse tomarrow and the next day. Do not tell anyone you are fine or feel ok for at least a few days. Hope it all works out for you. Some lady hit my motorcycle today when it was parked too!

Definitely get a lawyer. No need to involve yourself in insurance claims in this type of accident. (rear ends are pretty much cake for any lawyer)

Sorry to say, but I'm 99.9999999999999999999% sure that's totalled.

you hurt you neck and need a settlement!!!, if they do total you have two options, buy back for much cheaper, to have time to strip parts, or hope your insurance will give you time to take parts before its hauled off.

I am not a professional auto body guy, but with the car not starting, electrical issues, new trunk new bumper, new window, paint, and bending the sub frame, tail lights, and all the little ****, oh and did any airbags deploy?

I gonna say its totaled. if I where you I would get a neck brace and ware it while you take off your parts...

Ill keep updates as they come. Most information about me and insurance routes ill be taking will be staying private till this is all figured out. Id rather not say something that could hinder anything legal.

Still out of it, pretty much sat and stared at my car for a good few hours today thinking when will I wake up?!
