OOPS, forgot to answer you.
We will be at what is called the last gas station on 504 at 11AM. I do not know what it's name is. We will wait untill everyone shows, most likely about 20-30 minutes I guess, so lets depart no later than 11:30AM.
There is a $3 per adult charge to enter the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center Complex and the Johnston Ridge Observatory.
They can be purchased at the Monument Visitor Centers and Ape's Headquarters through Northwest Interpretive Association. Passes are also available at Cascade Peaks Restaurant and Gift Shop on Road 99. I think we should make a planned stop at the Visitors Center.
We can plan from there.

Almost met up with you all
Well darn, I was on the other side of the mountain around 1:30. Came across the Horse Heaven Hills to Goldendale, Goldendale to Trout Lake. FR 23 to FR90 to FR 25 Stopped at BurgerJoint just before getting off of FR90. FR 25 pass the Windy Ridge turn off and on to Randel. Lots of twisties and not much traffic to speak of. Did get a S2000 and a Porche climbing up my rear on FS25. Anyway was able to give them a little run for their money, then waved them by. They were pushing much harder than I wanted in a car that is very new to me.
Randel to Packwood to check out the Auto Cross. Had to beg to get in. Some insurance issue with Landlord that the AutoX club is dealing with. Looks like a great way to get handling practice on the R X-8, but it will put a strain on the ride. Anyway. What a beautiful day for a ride. From Packwood we traveled over white pass and took the boring freeway ride to Kennewick. 480 great driving miles. We are hooked like two tunas. We loved the drive and the ride. The Ride is just fantastic.
Perhaps next time I will get on the correct side of the mountain and met some of you.

Just a quick note to tell you people that didn't go: You missed a great time.
For those of you that went, I was one of the people walking around with a camera, I'll post the pictures on Tuesday. It was great meeting you guys and driving with you. Can't wait to do it again!
Later,
-Dennis

Hey,
This is the link that Paul (the Celica guy) gave me to the pics that he and Jamie took today. These are off of his server, so I don't know what kind of bandwidth he's got.

One of you guys passed me as I was headed south on I-5. I was sorely tempted to exit and join you but I had an appointment in Salem @ noon. Glad it came off well! From the pics you needed a yellow!

I kept my speed within reason, but it seemed all you guys behind me wanted to go faster! :p
I'll have a momento to send you in about a week. I have to go to New Orleans this weekend.
