Any new RX-8 owners in the Seattle area that want to hook up for a Saturday or Sunday drive give me a shout. I just picked up my triple black GT 6/speed on 8/13.

 

I actually just drove to Leavenworth from Redmond yesterday and it was a blast. It was the first drive accross the cascades and the car performed exactly the way I thought it would: wonderfully.

I can't promisse riding together (I can't always predict how my weekends will be ) but I'm highly interested in tips about roads and road trips here in the Northwest that would extract the best experience of our marvelous machines!

Do you have any tips?

And what about clubs here? I read somewhere that 3Rotor was really into the rotary scene around here. Hey 3Rotor, any tips?! Zoom44, as a NW thread founder, do you have any takes on this??? (that's actually my first post ever, but I've been following this list for so long that people like 3Rotor and Bowanna look like part of the family to me... )

 

Because of Brad's (3Rotor) busy work schedule he only makes it to a few of the larger rotary events and some of the car shows. There was some talk on the RX-7 club forum about doing another cruise lasting maybe 1-2 hours before the summer ends, if stuff happens I will post details about it. I do a lot with organizing the events and such so don't worry I will keep you guys abreast of what is happening, at least until we get a larger following of RX-8's in the North West.

 

This will have to be quick. I will be down at Corksport on the 29th working on the 3Rotor project with Chris (hopefully we will be lighting it off with the new ECU). Then spending the night and sticking around for the BBQ on Saturday.

The RX-7's are having a cruise from the Tacoma area to Mount Rainer on Sept 13th. I will post a new thread with details as soon as everything if finalized.

 

Been a while since this thread has had a post- but I wanted to let you know I am in the Seattle area and would love to come to some events like this. My 8 is just past the 600 break in and I'm ready to drive
