Question Eugene, Oregon RX-8 Owners?

I've been checking into this site for 18 months now. I see all sorts of RX-8 stuff going on everywhere else but in Eugene. Maybe I'm missing the announcements. If so, would someone please take me by the hand (eye?) and show me where to look?

If my perception is correct and there are no RX-8 events in Eugene, would any fellow Eugene RX-8 owners like to come forward and help me start something? I know there are some of us because I've seen you on the street. So, whadyasay? You can reply to me here in the thread.

Looking forward to meeting some fellow RX-8'ers.

I spent a few years living in Eugene and Springfeild when I was in Junior High. Spencer Butte Jr. high, but that was many years ago. Lived on E. 36th Street in Eugene.

My wifes parents live in Waldport, near Florence, on the coast and we will be visiting in August on vacation. We bring our quads over to try the sand. When the time comes closer I will try to see if your around. I wouldn't mind driving over to me a fellow Eighter, if your interested. I to have not found any people from the sight around, (Nevada and Washington). Maybe the wife will let me bring my 8 also.

Munster,

Thanks for your response. I also would like to meet fellow RX-8 owners wherever they may live. :p

However, my intent in my post was to find local owners to get together from time to time for various activities, perhaps just to share experiences involving their 8's or maybe a drive on entertaining roads to places of interest. Assuming we can get something going, I'm sure you would be most welcome to participate should you find yourself in the area and available.

I thought you had to wear hemp underware and drive a VW minibus with flowers on the side to live in Eugene!

Har har har!

Don't forget the tie dye T-shirts, dread locks, and having a compost pile in your kitchen. :p

Actually, I'm a meat eating, leather wearing, clean shaven, short haired, blind, toothless Republican...and I love my RX-8. :D

Week Old Blue RX-8

I saw a blue RX-8 on Bailey Hill today (Saturday, July 16th) with a guy about 25 years old driving. We had a moment to chat while side-by-side at the light. He told me he bought it from Keifer Mazda a week ago and it was his very first, brand new car. He had a really big smile on his face. :D

If you are that man, how about responding in this thread. I'm trying to drum up enough interested RX-8 owners in Eugene to get something going. So far, I've had no luck. (Never was much of a salesman.)
