Changing the tranny fluid, and rear end. My thoughts on it.
Well, I've read on this forum a couple times about people saying to change the transmition fluid, and rear end fluid around 5k miles. I waited until 6k miles, and did a oil change with the rear end and tranny at one time.
I feel I'm pretty easy on the transmition. No pounding gears, grinding gears, or realy make the scyros realy scream. (I allways rev match.) But anyways, I droped the fluid in the transmition, and besides a little bit of material in the fluid, there was next to nothing on the magnet. The read end was about the same. I did put some synthetic 75-90w in, because thats what I had laying around.
All in all, I'd wait until atleast 10k miles to change my different drivetrain oils if I had to do it again. Unless I felt I was being abusive to the car or something....
Anyways, just a couple thoughts for some of the local 8 owners. CJ
