Boasted Civic Club?
Any one seen them around they ran up on me on I-5 north and got off on exit 142 auburn and went to auburn. I'll just say that the rx8 in third was well not as satisfying as third against other civics. I might as well have left it in sixth cause it made it seem like the same effect. I may not have been able to keep up with them in third but the whoossh sound there cars made gave me enough reason to understand why. All I wanted to know is if anyone knows the guys in the club the leader of the pack had a blue hatchback civic with HIDs with a sticker on the back window on the passenger side that said I love my EG. I'm not a civic fan but am a huge fan of people who build civics right.
Well I could tell almost immediately that I was well the underdog there is just something that gives you a hint whether the car is shitty or built I got that feeling well before I dropped hammer. I'll give it to them for helping civics regain a better name than a ricers cavalier.
....If you dump $5000 into a civic you can be in 10secs @ 1/4 mi. if you dump $5000 into an 8.... well, that civic will still smoke you. Pistons are easier to mod (Forged Aluminum and crap, etc. etc. Titanium Valve.... etc. etc...) But Ill tell you what.. Put a Boosted 8 next to a boosted Civic at a car show and we will get all the WIMMIZ!
and the respect from "real tuners" that hvae respect for the rotary.... Its hard to get respect owning a civic... only few have accomplished said task. The civic you are talking about is just another Ricer Boy with a T4 turbo set up that you can pick up at a junk yard that happened to smoke you. OR.... He bough a NOS kit and still will smoke you.... Power/Weight Ratio. Hell a Integra with LS Vtec headers, intake, pulley, fuel rail, exhaust will smoke you, and that thing will be N/A... just be happy with what your 8 is.... slow but sexy.

I understand this concept but this doesn't make me dislike my 8 I didn't buy my 8 cause I thought it would beat every car out there I bought it because it is everything I wanted in a car that I could afford. I mean if someone puts 30k into a sti they can take a Ferrari does that make his car better no just faster. All I'm saying is there needs to be more car conscious people out there that can say how much there car is putting down and back it up.

Well if your going to have a civic at least make it the nastiest one around right? Yeah still would pick my REX over any of those civics plus the mazda community is so much better =]]]
How much their car is putting out and back it up? Well now-a-days... be afraid of every STI and EVO out there. Junkyard parts can put them in the 12 sec/quarter mile category easily... but then again... they are slowly getting the same rep as civics....they are becoming Overated.... when something is too easy and been done million of times... it becomes overated... just like arround 99-2000 Civics were all over Front Cover of Magazines and ****.... now.. nothing...been there,... done that... Same with EVo's and Sti's...Now a days you see GTRS, NSX's on front covers... Straight Track Time Attack Cars fully built to every last bolt... the way it should be to get that "rep"... Its not about how fast you are, its about the overall quality, uniqueness, and time spent on your MODS. I can walk down the street and find a 12 sec sti or evo... and would it tickle my pickle? not even one bit... not if I saw an all Time Attack Tracked out (sways,bracing, cage, CF all over, Fully custom built engine, BBK,) then it would
