I'm ditching the spare tire and going for AAA membership instead - would anyone be interested in buying my spare and the associated mountings? It's never been used but the faux-leather cover is ripped (it was the wife, I don't want to talk about it).

Alrighty - I should really have done this research before posting.

Looking at "completed items" on eBay (excluding the postage) there appears to be some guy who's sold a load of them with all the kit for $149.50, and a guy who's sold just the wheel for $134. Given that I have allllmost all of the kit but a ripped cover, it seems to me I could reasonably ask $140. The 149 guy wanted another $47 for postage, too...

Any takers? I'm happy to travel for the switch so we can make sure I take out all the right bits!

And then when I noticed the OP wasn't you, but you were posting, I thought "he shoulda kept it!!" j/k!!!

It sits in my trunk just waiting.... no mounting.... doesn't seem to need it becuz I have so much crap in the trunk!!

 

Bump - I had to bail out, so it's 4sale again. Sorry I had to use the money to get the VW out of the shop. Cost more that I anticipated...
