Hello,
I have been reading this forum for about two months or so, deciding on getting an 8. I got it yesterday! Had one shipped up from Tacoma (got a great deal). I wanted an 8 ever since I heard they were working on making it few years ago. It was rumored on the Miata.net site a while back. Well, anyway...
I am loving the car!

Yeah,
I live in Anchorage. I have yet to see a single 8 driving around in town. I have only seen a yellow and a blue parked, there seems to be very few of us!
Do you know of an rx8 club of any kind up here? I know there is a miata club out of fairbanks, they might not mind 8's joining up with them, or maybe a rx7 club? Anyway, it might be fun to get together sometime.

Hey,
Yeah I know of a guy who went to a Miata club meeting and all they do is talk about trying to be one with the car and all this Japanese philosophy. They don't even really drive around at all. We should set up a drive if we can get three or four of us together. There is a guy in Wasilla I believe, with a red 8. Have you done mods to yours yet?

the one in Palmer. u should go up there and lets meet. My car is still in stock form, no mods what so ever. I'm going to clock my car before I put on the aftermarkets and see the difference. Or we can meet up there and race to find out if it does have gains.

Do you just ship your car to Anchorage whenever you want or are you planning on staying for awhile? It seems like that might get expensive, huh?

im taking the ferry. b in anchorage at 10am thursday 22nd of July. Im getting my car serviced and get the M flash. I'll be heading back to Kodiak via Homer early morning of July 26.
It will get expensive if Mazda keeps having new version of flashes. I do all the maintenance here in Kodiak with my mechanic friend who will also be up there with me. His taking up his M3 and my other friend with the supercharged gsr
