2007 Track Days (HPDE's)

I've been talking about putting together a list of track days in the Pacific Northwest and I finally got around to doing it. I'm probably missing quite a few events, so if you know of any that I should add let me know. There are two files attached. One is a zip file containing the Excel spreadsheet and the other is a jpg screenshot of the spreadsheet.

I'm not sure yet which events I'll be able to make but hopefully a group of us can make at least one together. I was thinking about the Alfa event the 23rd of May, but it's an evening event (4pm to dark) and I'm pretty sure there will be significantly less track time than a normal daytime event, so I'm not sure I'm interested anymore. Anyway, take a look and let's see if some of us can find one or two that work for us.

Also, my Koni shocks will be here today so I was wondering if anybody would be interested in helping out with the install over here (Snohomish)? I wanted to make it to Kristopher's install but wasn't able to. I'm not sure I can do it this coming weekend, but I think I could do the 19th. We could throw some steaks on the grill, etc... Let me know if you want to help out.

That would be awesome. They showed up tonight so I'll be itching to try them out! Beer, steak, and cars.... sounds like a pretty good Saturday.

I'd be happy to help, but I'll be out of town the 19th-21st.

I am in two minds as to whether I'm helping things or hindering them here, but I've updated your splendid spreadsheet.

First off, it now has all the Proformance days in it (there are a lot of them). I also added the BMWCCA ones and the AMS ones (links in there to the calendars). I also added a column to calculate the day of the week - you had a couple of incorrect ones.

I did this by going through the list at http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...ic=449124&st=0.

I am rather restricted to weekends but will have a look through and see if there are any tempting ones. Is anyone else here doing the NW Rally Friday Nighter on Friday? There's another RX8 there usually, same colour as mine. Looking at the results, the wife and I appear to be bringing up the rear of the championship...

Chris

Looking at this calendar, this stipulation would mean I'm not doing anything at all. Will try to talk to the wife and see if I can sneak in a weekday.

Thanks for the updates! I know I made some mistakes and missed some things, so any updates are much appreciated. I think Kristopher is going to post this on his website so we should get an HTML version that's easier for everybody to read.

I didn't know about the northwest Rally's until your e-mail. I looked through the website, but can you fill in the details like how difficult the routes are? My wife really hates navigating, so it might not be the best event for us, but it sounds like fun. We like the beautiful drives.

Yes, I am planning on adding it to the-winding-road. I'll take what you guys have and export it to HTML for now. At some point I'll figure out how to get them all added as events, without going through the effort you guys already did

If you were talking to me, I prefer making computers do the work. The more they do, the more I get to sit around taking the credit.

I'm hoping to get in a few track days this year. The wife is no longer working so the budget has tightened up a bit.

How's the kit coming along?

Good, but very slow on my part. I'm doing a bunch of the prep myself to save some money, and I just haven't had too much time to spend on it. I've got the fit pretty good on the front (one small area I still need to work on). I've been grinding out areas that don't look great, filling with duraglass, and sanding smooth. I'm hoping to pass it off to my body guy in a couple of weeks so he can prime and paint it. It looks nice on the car though! Thanks again!

The routes are a mixture - we've only done two, so I'm not the best person to ask. We're not the best navigation duo either but we only got lost twice on the first one and once on the second. There are a few rally primers on the internet - or you could just turn up at the Eastgate Park&Ride this evening at 7!

Chris (PM me for phone number if you want to actually turn up and need an emergency primer)

Nope, shock install is next Saturday (May 19th). You are welcome to come by if you want. We are planning to barbecue.

I'm not great with bodywork, but I can do some of the more simple stuff. My body guy might need to fix some of what I'm doing though. I'm keeping the OEM front, but I'm not sure if I'll bother to swap it out for track days. I may just tape up the Autobahn...

Anybody planning to come by on Saturday? If so, what time works for everybody? I'll need to know how much steak to buy.

Anybody up for any track days in July? There is a BMW track day on July 13th and and Alfa day on July 26th. I probably can't make the 13th, but I may be able to make the 26th. Anybody else?
