Wow, yeah, 26 is definitely way low! I had mine at 33 (cold) all around. From what I've read it sounds like they should be a little higher for autocross, with more in the rear than the front. It might help my understeer a little.
I hope I was faster than you! You drove in the rain!! I'd really have to worry about my driving if I was getting beat by an identical car in the wet when I drove in the dry!
I doubt I'll make the Bremerton event. It's just such a long way to go for very little seat time. There are more events in Everett on the 24th and 25th of this month, so those are the next ones I'm likely to make. It would definitely be good to run in the same group because we could probably help each other out.

By the way, does anybody know how the adjusted times work? What are they adjusted for? I noticed that the Pro Stock class had a fast time of 28.049 which I thought seemed ridiculous, until I noticed the actual time was 34.500.

The times are adjusted by the car so that everyone is = or so they hope.
I like the Bremerton events. For one thing the speeds are faster and for another my brother lives close to the park so I get to see him as well.
I do like that everett is close but the course is so small.

I didn't get my car worked on today I got pushed back to wednesday.

I can get a set of stock rims with nicks and scratches from Japan for cheap but I still need some cheap tires!

I had my work done at a wholesale repair shop next to my work for $50
They have a new computer alignment machine that will give a print-out of the before and after.
Skinless I think it would be a good idea to get an alignment as soon as you can.
I would say to use the same place that I did but they are wholesale and they just worked me in to there schedule and it took a couple days.

FWIW, if you really want to be sure it's done right (including taking into account your weight in the driver's seat), a place like Fordahl in Bellevue is first rate. They are racers and autocrossers themselves, and know with this game is all about.

I called Fordahl today. They can do it for $125. Not too bad, but I like the sound of $50 better! I'll probably schedule an appointment for sometime next week, before the weekend Autocross. I'll probably use similar settings to yours, although I may go with just a slight bit of toe in the front for quicker turn-in.

There are many things in life where you get what you pay for; getting your alignment done is one of those, IMO.
Rather than telling Fordahl what settings you want, it would far more productive to tell them what you're trying to accomplish, and they'll tell you what settings are best for that for your car (they're the experts). For instance, I told them that my car is my daily driver, but I also track and autocross it frequently. They know what's best for that combination.

FM will do a top rate alignment for you bar none.
I went the low cost route because that is what I wanted to spend.
As far as I know if you have toe "in" you will have less "turn-in" but more stable at higher speeds.
and toe-out you will have a quicker turn-in but the vehicle will want to hunt or dart at speed which can be good if you only autocross the car but driving on the street can be a handful. That is why I choose to have "0" toe front and rear.

Right, I meant to specify toe out in the front. I'm hoping to find a compromise that won't make the car too unstable but helps slightly with turn-in. I'm not looking for anything too aggressive. I'll probably just go with what Fordahl suggests when I get my alignment.

I got my alignment done at Fordahl yesterday. I couldn't get the format to look right, so I just attached an image of the results. My original settings weren't too awful with regard to camber and caster, but the toe was really messed up! I had toe out on the left front and right rear, and toe in on the right front and left rear.
With regard to toe out in the front I asked what they suggested. Greg (the owner), said they suggested 0, because toe out would help turn-in but would reduce traction mid-corner and on corner exit. Not to mention the extra tire wear. If you look at my settings you'll notice that he put just a hair of toe out (-.06 total) in the front. He said he only did this so he could get to -1.0 camber.
I'm planning to make it to one of the sessions in Everett this weekend to try out the new setup. I'm not sure which yet, but it will probably be the AM session on Saturday or Sunday. I'm hoping the new setup will help a bit with understeer. I had tons of push at the last autocross, so we'll see how it goes. So who's planning to attend this weekend?

I'm planning on going to the Sunday afternoon session. If the skies are as clear as forecast, I'll but up all night with my telescope, so I won't be very interested in the morning sessions.
