I just searched and saw no answer that I am satisfied with...

From what I've read they are running the GM ecu, the factory ecu...

Earlier in the thread I think he alludes to running the 2 ECUs side-by-side and going with a Christmas in July theme for the dash. BH said every light on the dash of the 350z was on. Does Texas have any sort of emissions test? I imagine the LS2 would run cleaner than the Renesis, but here I would have to pass the plug-in test as the sniffer has been phased out.

Yes Texas does have emissions. Here is the cool thing with this is that the ls motor will have its own obd2 port. So when you go to get your inspection they will plug into that and not the rx8. When I tune the gm ecu I can tell all the emissions related codes not to report. So when they do scan it for codes nothing will show up.

The second port sounds like a good plan. Here in Missouri they often try to act like California with the emissions stuff. We just got rid of the state run facilities not long ago with the rollers and suspicious eyes on everything. Local shops are mostly so scared of losing the ability to collect those easy fees that they will discriminate heavily on anything.

Tomorrow I'll have the rack done, sway bar done, and motor mounts done. Maybe the motor in if the Nos energy drink holds thru the day

We wouldn't replicate another mount kit. Were going with Hinson and working thru the out with a fresh pair of eyes to help with an issues someone might have. Were also creating an easy step by step install for them that will cover all the details for other installers. This kit requires alot of welding and is not as easy to install as some of there other kits. But whatever it takes to put a v8 in an 8 is ok with me haha

Actually were using a vette pan for some extra ground clearance. For this kit tho you can use any rear pick up set up
