Start the controversy. Imagine, if you will, the smooth torque of a VQ while driving your 8. Leave it stock except for intake and exhaust. Most people can't handle a 500hp monster. Everyone I know with a car like that usually has things like stock brakes and runs it into something. Imagine having no cats and being able to breathe behind your car while it runs. Imagine the gas mileage. Then realize you miss your rotary and all the noises it makes.

 

Updates on the LS2, how much power do you anticipate making with this thing?

I hope there is some part of this car's budget for tires and brakes. Don't be the guy that says, "Look how awesome and powerful my car is now! It does crazy burnouts! Here are pictures of it wrapped around a tree with those Corvette engine covers peeking out from under the hood."

 

I hope ur between me and that tree if it ever happens. Do yourself a favor and shut up. No one gives a **** about putting rx8 doors on a gto or putting a friggin vq motor in an 8, both ideas are ridiculous.

Sorry if you are insulted. I liked your attitude about your project and decided to keep an eye on it. Just trying to liven things up a bit with the other stuff. Chill out a bit. I have seen too many people add a ton of power to a vehicle with no investment on anything else and immediately run it into something. Be careful out there.

 

hes a pro Mr Pieper, he doesnt need us internet guys pointing out some obvious things.
By the way the rx8 brakes will take anything he can throw at it other than the insane.

 

This is not a ton of power. On top of that you are like the 20th person to tell me to be careful and you think you know what has already been done to the car. Do me a favor and just wait.

ok so i realized this big car show we are in is in two weeks. damn it! no more sleep for me and i will have the motor pulled and the ls set in with the trans and everything in two weeks. im also working with a media company to make a video of the build so i can show you guys some issues to over come and what to expect if you ever want to attempt the swap yourself.
