Hello fello RX8ers! I had recently just gotten a 2006 red rx8 and I have been wanting to get a wireless key for it. The dealership only had the one key and that was without the smart part of it. I read that each rx8 has their own code that only certain wireless keys will sync up with. Lastly, I called a mazda dealership and they wanted 300 dollars for a new key, I feel that is way too much. The dealer or a locksmith with very specific tools are the only way. $300 is about right for the dealer, I'm not sure how much a locksmith would be but I'd assume it's significantly cheaper.
