Red face Weird loud Rough Sounding Noise

A couple days ago I was driving back home I had drove for about 30 min on cruise control at 80 mph, i stopped by a friends house to drop something off and when I left I noticed my car sounded very loud. I did a 1st and second gear pull and noticed the car was super loud and did not sound good, it sounded rough. at the end of my second gear pull at about 7 and a half rpm the car jerked then I let off the gas and pressed in the clutch. once I did that the car went back to sounding normal and has been sounding fine ever since. I did not really notice any loss in power and I am having no troubles hot starting or any starting problems. I was wondering if anybody knew what that was or if they have experienced it before ?

Can you define loud? Possibly exhaust leak that is exaggerated by worn engine mounts.

I can’t really describe it as a sound just much louder than normal it sounded very noisy almost as if there was no lubercation. If it was an exhaust leak wouldn’t I hear it constantly?

Depends if things shifted and then shifted back. Can you get a recording of it if it does it again. Like a rattling sound or ticking or knocking? Maybe a loose piece of heatshield or something.

Maybe the air injection pump? It sounds like a whining electric motor. It goes off about a minute after the car starts.

Did the sound get louder or change pitch with rpm or with speed? If rpm > engine, exhaust leak, clutch, if speed > transmission/diff/tires/suspension etc. If neither, it's something else entirely... radiator fan maybe?

I do notice that sometimes when I start the car , is that a sign of it failing ? And for the video I will try to record it if it happens again but it is still running fine. And yes the sound gets louder as the motor rpm got higher

No I just thought if maybe you didn't know what it was that might be the noise.
