Watkins Glen Festival Features MAZDA Sept 2015
Greetings, Mazda owners!
The Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen is featuring Mazda in September 2015, and you are invited!
The Chateau Lafayette Reneau Winery Tour de Marque featuring Mazda will meet at the Winery on September 11, 2015, the driver and navigator will take a fun, non-competitive rallye-style tour of about 85 miles in the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York, enjoy lunch, two laps of the Original Course with the Mazda group, downtown Watkins Glen display parking, and an extra special event! The Tour de Marque (TDM) is a Stone Bridge Driver event, which are unique among automotive events, as all entrants participate in rallies that include laps of the original 1948 - 1952 Watkins Glen road course. During the 1948 race, Denver Cornett went over the Stone Bridge, but finished the race with the help of other drivers - the Stone Bridge Driver events are a nod to that exhibition of gentlemanly driving and racing excitement. You should be there!
While Miata owners and past participants were the folks that campaigned for a Mazda event, all Sporting Mazda models are encouraged to participate. It would be great to fill the streets with the gnarly sounds of rotary engines, too! It was a surprise to discover how many Mazda owners had enjoyed the festival as spectators, and had not participated in a Stone Bridge Driver event. Please consider this my personal invitation to join the fun and excitement!
