VFAD System
Hello, I’m wondering if leaving the VFAD disconnected results in it running rich? I just replaced my engine and left the VFAD diconnected and I got a code for it running rich. I also got a code for the “air pump circuit low voltage b” which was odd. I’m not sure what that actually means, but there’s no coolant blowing out and i’m not sure what that code actually is. Thank you!

Not having VFAD won't make you run rich, but leaving the VFAD nipple or any other intake nipple open can. The intake needs to be airtight after the MAF.
The circuit low code is wiring to your air pump solenoid.
Common issues when replacing engines: fuel injectors miswired (the connectors are very similar colours), forgotten or misrouted vacuum connections, miswired ignition coils and spark plug wires. If it's acting up, start with those.
