i believe the one your talking about, its an overfill pipe which is there to feed back to intake and burn off the excess, this is where many people fit oil catch cans including myself so that it doesn't sit in the intake.

^ Correct.

Just go to your autoparts store locally and walk in with the busted line. The guys can get you an accurate length of vacuum hose that is the same diameter. Most parts stores have rolls of various sizes that you just cut off what you need.

Nothing special about the line.

Any other parts stores around? I walked into a random Advance a couple months ago and they brought me back behind the counter where there was ~15 rolls of various sizes of vacuum hose. Cut off the length I needed, paid for it, and installed it in the parking lot.

Really not complicated.

Rubber hose from a hardware store could work too.

Ah, that plastic tip. Yeah, those are irritatingly easy to snap. I have never found a generic one that fits. Going to be an order from the dealer, possibly Mazmart, a junkyard RX-8, or you can see if you can find something similar in a hardware store's plumbing section.

Someone else may have a better option.

x1 brass fitting
x1 hose cut to correct length to reach from intake tube to oil fill neck fitting
x1 hose clamp for the brass fitting side of the hose to ensure a nice snug fit
x1 teflon tape if your worried and want to make sure you have an air tight connection.

all the proper size of course.

teflon tape the entire fitting and insert one end halfway into the hose once you have it measured and cut to length. put hose clamp on the hose right over the fitting to ensure it wont move and is a tight fit. insert other end of barb into the intake tube where plastic elbow used to be, the teflon you applied will help ensure a seal. put the opposing end of the hose to the oil fill being careful not to break the plastic.

never worry about the elbow breaking or even cracking ever again. you can buy everything you need to do this at a ace hardware or other hardware store for only a few dollars. buy two extra brass fittings and two hose clamps in case it ever happens again you have parts on hand to patch the other two lines. not the prettiest but effective, good luck.

alternatively, go to the dealer for those stupid plastic elbows that will just break on you again eventually.
