U0101 Communication error to TCM 2004 RX8

U0101 Communication error to TCM 2004 RX8

I have a 04 RX8. The car will start but will not get going over 30 mph. Engine light is on and giving a U0101 Communication error to TCM. Help what does this mean and how do I fix it?

TCM, is that throttle control module?

Check the connector on the throttle body.

Auto or Manual. more data would help. If auto, could be transmission control module.

I believe that's the Transmission Control Module

AT, right?


Try the 20 brake stomp reset.

Yes, it TCM Transmission Control Module. i tried the 20 Brake Stomp Reset. It did reset and the service engine light went off until i restarted the car a it came right back on. I have an automatic transmission.

check wiring, if wiring is Good, get a used TCM and have a dealer program it to your car

Yeah,

Start with reseating the connectors. Then wires, then you will likely need the module.
