Took it apart now it won't start

Ok gents riddle me this. I have a 05 rx8 auto I recently removed and cleaned the ssv put it all back started up ran nicely. Now I broke the nipple off of some hose that I think has something to do with the oil metering. Now it ran fine The next couple days had no problems, no cel. Then I had genius idea to remove the upper intake to get formulier with my blue devil car and clean it. Also to make room to fix the hose I broke while doing ssv cleaning. Now I coundlt find a fix for that piece I broke off so I decided to just put all back together until I could resolve that issue. I put all back started it it crunk up ran for approx 30 secs to a min then it bogged down and died. Any ideas or nifty little tricks you vets know about please inform me of my mistakes. And help me thanks

if there's anything else you need to know please ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

Well knowing what hose you broke would help. But yeah a huge vacuum leak will do that.

That is the vacuum manifold for your oil injectors. Each of those four small hoses goes to one injector. Where did you break it at? Did you break it at the plastic manifold or at the intake? If you broke it at the manifold you will need a new one. Dont not drive the car until you get it fixed. If you do have to drive it, make sure you run premix.....

Yeah that POS breaks every time when they are original. It is actually called a fuel rail insulator and yes it will cause a huge vacuum leak and you should buy a new one.

Ok I've got another one but that's what lubricates the the engine and apex seals right, and that is more than likely why my car will not start. Anything else I might want to check the car has 150k miles on it I've ATF treatment twice when the previous owner said low compression I I've been 120 mph in this thing and it didn't hesitate one bit so I'm ruling out low compression. I went and bought electronic cleaner to clean all plugs and such. This thing sounded way to smooth for it not to start.

It won't start because breaking it there cause a big vacuum leak in the manifold after the MAF, ie a large unmetered flow of air. You could plug it off temporarily if you know what you're doing and the engine will just receive a larger amount of oil from the OMP. Otherwise not driving it until properly repaired is the best solution.

Be careful they re really brittle when they get older. I think they are about $20 to buy a new one...not a bad idea at some point

It's a Mazda part...not something you can buy anywhere else.

So online...or from Mazmart...or at your local dealer where they can order it in for you

Ok i have ordered the psrt but in the mean time i have inserted a nipple and jb welded it on till i get the part but unfortantly your right its hasn't fixed my problem. I will send a video of what its doing. So far i think i need a battery. I put my original batrery on charge last night and its not holding a charge. Also maybe a starter. I have made sure that the gaskets were on and snug. I just found a cut in the battery cable going from the battery to the starter like the previous owner had spliced and extended the cable could that be part of the problem, and if you know any other things i might have over looked overlooked me know thanks

Check out these videos , if the starter motor speed isn't at least as fast as the top one then that could be your issue . Also , after all these attempts to start it will certainly be flooded , so go through the deflood procedure before attempting to start it.

And I have seen a lot smaller vacuum leaks keep an engine from starting. But yes, you likely have other issues. Spell check would help too.

The sensors near the spark plugs are the oil pressure switch and the knock sensor at the top

And the oil level sensor at the bottom in the oil pan

Depending on what you count as #4, it should be the knock sensor... why?

I'd suggest pulling the spark plugs, giving them a good cleaning (as well as evaluating their overall condition) and performing a deflood procedure. I can't promise that's the problem, but if it is, cleaning + that procedure is an easy fix. Google for the procedure. Consider changing spark plugs, or better yet, post pictures and we'll evaluate them.

Dying battery could certainly cause slow starter speed, which would cause the car to fail to start, and spliced cables sound.. scary.. but it worked before your endeavour and not after so it might not be the only issue.

Ok after no sleep last night i finally got it started. I cleaned those spark plugs three times with brake cleaner and acwire brush. Man im telling you taking thise things out and putting them back in is a hassle. Plus the starter solenoid wire was crapping out so i cut it and connected it manually by wrapping itself around tbe connector a few times and applying some heat shrink for protection. Then i grabved my multimeter and checked all my coils replaced one that was bad then for ***** and giggles i cleaned my MAF sensor and plugs aswell as the throttle body connection and plug. Did 20 brake tapes to reset the throttle. Had to crank it it three times but it's finally fired up.. thanks rx8 family love u guys

If it's not one thing it's another. It want stay idle I mean when I put it drive some times it will cut off mostly when I come to a stop is when it chooses to shut off. You think it's a vacuum leak or Low Comp

Vacuum leak would do it (but compression might be worth checking). One easy way to find out is by reading OBD fuel trim data. you can get a bluetooth reader on amazon for cheap. Taking the spark plugs out should be pretty quick, just remove the wheel and they're right in front of you...
