Timing

Can someone please give me a diy on how to do the timing on an 07 gt 6sp. We took off the pully and I’m afraid that the timing was messed up. I have searched everywhere and can not find anything. Please help quickly because it is my daily driver.

You obviously haven't searched everywhere then. Rotaries don't have timing because they don't have cam shafts.

from my knowledge there is a timing gear located behind the eccentric shaft pully

Rotary engine's timing is regulated by rotors themselves.

As there are no intake or exhaust valves, there is no timing chain or belt.

You need to do some more proper troubleshooting.

yes sorry for misunderstanding and thank you, so when I am putting this plate back on how do I align it properly? We have allready pulled the plate off and put it back on but I am not sure it is aligned properly. I threw a code for a bad crank sensor after the car stalled. The old sensor was rusted into place so we had to remove the pully to get it out of the hole. Since putting everything back together the car will not start but will crank. We put a spark tester and cranked the car and noticed that the spark was out of wack, is the plate not properly aligned my problem? Thanks for your time

It will only fit on one way. If you get it wrong, you won't be able to thread bolts into the holes on the ES.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, if the spark looks like it's outta wack, chances are you need new coils if you don't know their history.

yes I tried that, I’m thinking it’s the sensor I got. The old sensor sat flush with the top of the hole and the new sensor is recessed in a little so today I am going to get a OEM Mazda sensor.

The car ran fine before though. When I replaced the sensor I didn’t remover or touch any of the coils so I don’t think that is the problem.
