Rotor timing question

Rotor timing question

In a 2 rotor engine, are the rotor ignitions in phase? Or do they work like a piston engine and take turns?

How about in a 3 rotor?

In a 2-rotor engine the rotors are phased at 180 degrees apart. In a 3-rotor they are phased 120 degrees apart. In a 4-rotor they are phased 90 degrees apart.
