Hey guys, I've had my 2007 rx8 for about 6 months now and since the engine replacement I've been sure to redline it at least every time I drive it but I've only driven it around town since I bought it. So my question is during a 4 hour drive how many times should I redline it? Thanks

 

you don't need to red line it all the time. occasionally is fine.

 

The goal is to not lug around under 4K all the team. Let her breath every once in awhile.

I do an 8K run up, accelerating into traffic, a few times a week. This is because most of my commute is steady state, about 3K.

All is still well.

for a highway trip, you are likely good. Engine will get warm, be turning fast enough, should burn everything off.
