Stalling at idle

Just picked up a 2007, it seems to have an idling issue

it gave me a code for the MAF, replaced with a New one and the idling issue is gone

But now it coughs and sputters around 4000 rpm

so, pulled that MAF out and replaced with another new MAF now back to the stalling issue?

The car has 42000 km on it
Any thoughts?

the car was sitting in a garage for the last 3 years, before I picked it up.

i have replaced the plugs and wires

and I haven’t done a compression test yet

Are there any other codes? Like say, intake valve stuck open?

You changed the wires and plugs, but what about coils? You really really need those to be in good repair.

Otherwise hook up an OBD reader and see what airflow and fuel trims you have at idle,. report back.

What Loki said about ignition components.

Also, check for a vacuum leak around the MAF o-ring.

^Yeah, the threads for the MAF sensor on the intake are pretty easy to strip. You can always fix them with some JB Weld, though.

So I got a chance to get the code

P0102 and P0037

looks like I have a broken wire on the maf sensor connector.

I'm having a stalling issue as well and wondering if anybody has any ideas what it could be to get it narrowed down. I have an 04 4port with 90k miles no fuel pump recall done and it will stall coming to a stop if I beat on it heavy and will be hard to start after. hot or cold starts 3 cranks on original starter for it even if driving for hours. hot starts 3 cranks after immediately shutting it off if not hard on it. What are your thoughts vac leak, cat, fuel pump? Could it just be that from beating on it that pump just overheats and shuts off and wont start working until cools a little? when stalled I had to wait 30 seconds till it would start. Dont think a compression issue since when it did stall while driving normal at stop light it fired right up 3 cranks and that was after driving 2 hours. New to rotaries and wondering from advice what to check. New coils, plugs, and wires. Also no codes or lights on and never come on

Loan a fuel pump test gauge and that should tell you if it's the fuel system acting up.
