Rough Idle/Stalling

On my way to training this morning, I was sitting at the stop light. I then felt vibration caused by a rough idle and then the car stalled, almost killing its self. I tapped the throttle and the rpm's dropped back to stalling point in which I revved the car again. For the next few minutes of driving the car seemed and idle'd fine. I purchased my car used, it has 19,5xx miles, all latest updates (battery, starter, etc) as of late January. The only difference since then and now is that I have a green filter and I just filled up at the BP yesterday (first time for 93oct). If fuel, filter, or flash are not issues, what could be?

I am out of town so I am not sure if a stop to a unknown dealer would do me good if they can't reproduce the problem.

Rough Idle could be alot of things. Broken Apex Seals, Not enough Oil, Wrong kind of Oil, weak battery. etc

You should check your airfilter for dirt. 8 needs quite alot of fresh air and if your 8 has 19K miles. Maybe u should change it.

Since you just filled up, it could be water or other contamination in the fuel. Use up this tankful and refill at another station. If it still wants to stall, take it in to a dealer for diagnosis and repair.

rough idle can also be caused by bad motor mounts. A number of people are seeing them melt away. Have your dealership check them.

Thanks guys. No issues since that one time. the rough idle was right before it stalled.
