SSV Stuck Closed....Please Help

So I just became a member but I have been following the page for sometime now as I have had my RX-8 for over two years, but I recently came across an issue my SSV is stuck closed and the dealership refuses to clean it so I either need a diagram on how to do it myself or any other rotary mechanic near Jacksonville North Carolina, i've done research and fixed everything that I can but the SSV valve is still stuck closed resulting in a loss of power after 4000 RPM if anybody can please respond as soon as possible oh yeah and it's a series 2 please

It isn't too difficult to take it out and clean it and put it back.

You will need to pull the air pump solenoid and battery and alternator likely to get at it...but nothing that is super difficult

I think that is the DIY I used. It is not hard, just work. And the results were pretty amazing.

Depending on where you are, you may be able to get a local to help, or someone who needs it done too. Nice to have a buddy. Post your location.

Green, was your SSV sticking before you cleaned it? What kind of results did you get (assuming it wasn't stuck)?

I've never cleaned mine as it's never been a problem but I'm considering it now that my battery is out of the way.
