I have a RX8 2005, 62000 miles, 230bhp. Had a weird issue the other night, when I accelerated hard the low revs were fine but the high I had like no power until I got to 8000 revs and then got all the power. It did this 5/6 times and then it sorted itself out, and has been fine ever since. Has anyone ever had a similar issue and is it worth getting a garage to have a look?

I bet it was a clogged cat that you then blew out.

It's possible that you did other damage in the process if so.
