I have a 2005 RX8 manual which appears to have a noise coming from the gearbox when I engage 1st & Reverse Gears then slowly release the clutch pedal and at low revs. The sound is somewhat like something is not in line. There is no vibration and I've just had a new clutch kit installed by the Mazda Dealer. I thought it may have something to do with the throwout bearing? however, I was told that it was also replaced too.
Hi to all those who took the time to respond. The failure was actually the needle roller bearing at the back of the transmission which one cannot see when replacing the gearbox. It seems that one of the rollars had fallen out. simple as that.
Thanks for the input
