Clutch Noise: Throwout Bearing
When I first start my rx-8 in the morning I notice what sounds like a vibrating/rubbing sound when I put the car in nuetral and release the clutch. Pushing the clutch in the noise goes away. Anyone else know if this noise is normal or not?
I don't seem to have any problems shifting into any of the gears I have been paying close attention to the shifting. Just seem to hear that noise when the clutch is out in nuetral. It isn't very loud and it is less noticable when the car is warmed up. Other than that I think everything is ok.
I am calling the service dept. tomorrow if no one else has experienced this noise.

I do thank those of you who answered my question prior to this post. And yes I do understand what is making the noise but I was just wondering if that was normal or part of this "transmission problem thread" I have seen on these boards.
Thanks for your input... Man this car is too fun to drive and I haven't even gone up to 5k on the rpms yet.
