RX-8 Won't start

Hi all,
I'm new here! I recently purchased a 2004 RX-8 Auto transmission and love it! My boyfriend started my car the other day and didn't let it warm up before shutting it off....a big no no I have found....I started doing the de-flooding procedure yesterday and was going good but had to stop, he decided to pull one of the plugs today and put it back in. Now the car won't even click....all the lights on the instrument panel, head lights and dinging from the door open work perfectly but the only noise is coming from the fuse panel clicking under the hood! Can someone please help me, I am at a loss? Thanks Kath

Your car should not flood from being stopped cold if it is healthy. Get it boosted back up, but see about having your ignition coils, spark plugs and wires checked out/replaced.

What, exactly, did your boyfriend do when he removed/replaced a plug?
Did he disconnect the battery?

Inspect the battery connections for corrosion and tightness.

Determine where the clicking is coming from; is it from the starter solenoid or from one of the relays in the fuse box. If from the fuse box ... which one. It's normal for the fuel pump relay to click when you turn the ignition to the start position.

I'm with Mr. Colon (there's a phrase I never wanted to say....)

Battery terminals are loose or crudded.

Since it's an auto, make sure it's in neutral or park, the interlock won't let you crank if it's 'in a gear.'
