Radio on, no sound, tapping/clicking noise in center dash
Looked around quite a bit but found no answers for this. 2004, MT, ~70k, Bose stero and no nav.
All controls on radio and steering wheel work and display works.
Sound will work sometimes and when it does, I crank it and it sounds great.
When it does not work, nothing does (cd, fm/am, or aux jack). With key on and engine off and no sound, a soft tapping/clicking noise and be heard about center of dash, maybe a bit to the right. When the sound does decide to work (later that day or the next week, whenever it wants) that tapping noise is not there.
Unplug the large main connector behind the radio and the tapping noise stops, plug it back in and tapping continues. No obvious bent pins on connector and sprayed with some compressed air but nothing. One time out of frustration I gave the radio a good shake/slap (sorry radio) and it worked! Half a mile later I hit a bump and it promptly stopped.
Thanks for any help.

Simplest first step, are the cables all plugged in tight? Maybe a bad power connection? Electrical issues are a pain to diagnose in anything, so you will just have to work from the radio back (I am sure someone can help with which wires are the ones to follow for power or ground) starting with the connections and fuses.

Cables are all tight. The most upper right hole on the connector from the harness always has 12v (test light-ed). I checked the rest of the holes on that main (seems to be the problem) connector but nothing from the test light.
I looked at the wiring diagram some but can't make much sense of it besides all the speakers' inputs, but those seem to be fine. If someone had those other wires colors like ground mentioned and the others that would help me try to trace it back. I have some car electrical knowledge, but not much haha thanks
