Can rotor housing be machined to repair damage from broken apex seals. how do you determine by looking at a rotor if it is rebuildable?

I'm pretty sure the housing is gone because i had two apex seals broken. they were still seated but came out in pieces. What exactly would i be measuring if you don't mind me asking?

 

If they were OEM seals they might be OK...look for gouging in the housing surface and damage to the chrome on the sides.....and cracks at the spark plug holes

Rotors...you need to measure the seal groove clearances and make sure they are within spec when you rebuild. Most of the time things will be OK without catastrophic failure
