Premix in California
Hi,
Ive owned an 1990 RX7 GXL and now a 2010 RX8 GT so im not new with Rotary Engines.
However i have never really considered Premixing. i know premix can affect emissions a little bit.
So How much of Premix should you use if you are in California and any recommendations when you are about to do a smog test?

I premix with Idemitsu, 8oz per tank. I did not adjust this habit for any of my previous smog tests and have never had a problem. YMMV. Do bring it in hot and keep your ignition system in good repair.

Yes, it can change the emissions results because you're changing what is being combusted.
However, it's tough to say how much it's going to affect it and whether the difference is enough for pass/fail.
If you're worried about it and you still have your OMP, just don't add premix for two or three fill-ups before your smog test. Two or three tanks of gas without premix won't hurt the engine.
