Is it possible to upgrade head unit's firmware?

Hi All,

I would like to fit a bluetooth system to my car yet it seems the firmware I have is very restrictive in that it is not supported by most bluetooth audio systems.

I have version 9.81 and would ideally like to install the below:-
Grom Audio BT3 Integrated Bluetooth kit for Mazda 3 5 6: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics Grom Audio BT3 Integrated Bluetooth kit for Mazda 3 5 6: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Is it possible to upgrade head unit's firmware?

Thanks in advance,

Phil

There was someone doing it in the old days....haven't seen anything in the last 5 years or so...so the answer is likely not

But the Versions were in the 9.5 range and yours is a lot newer than that anyway
