can someone advise what this is? It is right by the cupholder. I think it might be for heated seats (my car originally had leather but PO switched to cloth). someone cut the trim piece so it is accessible through the trim.
Definitely a heated seat switch connector. There's an additional plastic cover that fits into that slot; part number stamped on the back of mine is F15155721.
