Please can someone help with advice

I brought a 54 rx8 2.6 only 2 days ago I have wanted one for a few years and was able to buy one after my grandad sadly passed away, however after one day of running her I went out to start and got nothing! All the lights come on but on turning the car over all I got was a click, I thought maybe the battery so brought a new one but still got the same issue so am now thinking maybe the starter motor.
Please if anyone could help or give advise please do this has been my dream car ever since my grandad drove me in his and I'm starting to feel it was a mistake.
Any help really is appreciated

Starters fail, but they are cheap to replace. Don't despair but do read the New Owners thread here to get started.

Properly diagnose it first. Continually trying to start it could possibly flood your engine. Starters are easy to replace but make sure that is the problem first.

They are easy enough to pull, most part stores will test them for free. Also, just because the battery is "new" doesn't mean that it's perfect, you can also bring that into a parts store for testing.

Check here for info on pulling/replacing the starter:
