WI Rx8 and secondary sac valve.

Hi. I'm not sure I am posting this in the correct spot. But I have searched for this question and haven't found any good answer. About six months ago Mazda put in a new engine in my RX8 due to low compression. Just recently my secondary fuel injector started shooting gas out while on my way home from work. Mazda replaced the o-rings.
I got it home and now the ssv valve is clicking it will stiop if you put your hand on it. I took it back to them and they said they didn't go anywhere near it that I'd have to pay for them to take it back apart and diagnose it. The macanic said I don't even know what it's for. So that kinda scared me a little that he was working on it. Could they have not put the air lines back properly or maybe didn't put the intake back right? It also sounds like there is a lot of airflow when the car is running. I'm taking it to another Mazda dealer soon to have it looked at just wondering what it could be.

It could be due to improper install after engine work; it could just he coincidence.
What you should do is verify if it's functioning as it should, and if not, why.

There are a few diy threads that can help you through the process.

I'm not sure if it is causing an issue. The car idle is almost perfect and drives really well. You only hear it when sitting idle. Like when im warming it up or at a light. He did say when they installed the new engine they must have crossed one of the airlines and he put them the proper way. Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it. It just bothered me that he said he doesnt know what an ssv valve does. I just don't wanna pay by the hour when he has no idea what it's for.

Just cuz it's the dealer doesn't mean they are knowledgable, unfortunately I'm not attempting to diagnose here but it's funny to me that they replaced a secondary injector o-ring without going "anywhere near" the SSV. The SSV and secondary injectors are literally right next to each other

That is what I said. this is the worst Mazda dealer around. I just didn't have any other options due to the fuel leak. Every time I take it to them. They don't wanna mess with any warrantys. Including there own. Sadly i have to take it an hour and a half away to a decent Mazda dealer with a rotary macanic.
