Partway though rebuild

I tore the 13b out of my 04 mazda rx8, and took out the block and inspected the rotors and rotor housings. Upon inspection I found the rear rotor cracked 2 side sealsand broke side seals. I'm going to resurface housing, but as for the rotors apex seal slot might be messed up as well as balancing or a bad rotor first time build, I'm pretty sure probably need some work done on both rotors. Thanks in advance

The apex seals slots in the second photo both look pretty unhappy. The right side of the left rotor's slot looks like it ate something, and is bent outward. The slot on the right rotor in the same photo looks like it was dropped or something, and the corner is bent inward.

They both look pretty rough, on the rear rotor 2 cornner seals broke, but as for both rotors that's how they came out of the engine. My question now is, can I salvage the front rotor? I think for the rear is good paperweight.

the Renesis isn’t like the previous engines, you need to trash all that junk and start over fresh if you want a decent engine wrt performance and lifespan
