P0302 code

I did some searching and can't find a exact answer alot of speculation of what it could be.
I parked my car last night started right up this morning right before it got up to normal temp idled rough and had to give gas to keep running then it died and was hard to start. When it did I had to give it gas to keep running makes almost a sputtering sound when I hit the gas and lack of power and smoothness through rpm's.
I ran Torque app and showed P0302 misfire code.
Rebuild has @5500miles had new plugs, wires, coils, cat, and evap pump all replaced at the same time.
Car was running good maybe a little rich during warm up, idled right at 800 and accelerated good through rpm range.
Where do I start? Check plugs?Reset ESS?
Definitely has me baffled!

Sorry if I posted above in the wrong section.
The car is an 2004 AT, it has been between 15-32 ℉ past couple days.
Got gas someplace different than usual, could it be bad gas or water in the gas? Has about 1/3 of a tank left since fill up.

Do all the normal sensor cleanings and stuff first. The ESS is one of the major sensors responsible for detecting misfires, so it is possible (but pretty rare) to get false codes. Check the plugs, coil wire harnesses, MAF, etc, then move onto the cat, just in case it somehow failed in its short life. Once they're all cleaned, do both resets and see if it comes back.

Once you're confident that everything else is is in good condition, consider your fuel system. Since it's only giving the code for one rotor the injectors on that side are suspect. Has your fuel pump ever been changed?

I will start checking the obvious, it may be the fuel pump as you suggested it acts like it's struggling to get fuel. If you press on gas pedal slightly it tries to start but wouldn't when I tried this morning. Thanks for the help definitely more complicated than my 7's.

Trip to Mazda nipped in the butt. It was the plugs they were trashed leading plugs were worse than trailing. Changed plugs and reset both it fired right up ran roughly for first 30 seconds or so. Now idles smoother than it did before.
Now to figure out why plugs look so bad after less than 6k miles.
