Oil light issues

So here's what's going on. If I drive the car in any kind of aggressive driving or cornering my oil light comes on. I have checked it and it's always fine but it continues to pop up. Any ideas what it is?

"I have checked it and it's always fine"

Can you clarify this statement? Are you checking to make sure the light is fine? The oil level? Are you checking it in the same conditions every time?

When I say I check it I'm talking about the oil level. I always pull over and check the dipstick. I carry a quart of oil in the trunk for top offs. So I would say it's in the same condition.

Not to question your dipstick reading ability but cornering and hard driving will trip the light with low oil level. If it was occurring intermittently I'd say gunked up sensor.

What year is your 8? There's a TSB that says there was a problem with the oil pan on some early models that caused the light to come on when it shouldn't.
