Oil light on after oil change

Hi, im a new owner of the series 1 rx8 2003. Today i did an oil change but after change the oil light came on and wont come off... the oil level is up to max line and oil pressure seems normal atleast by the cluster .. i also checked for leaks near oil filter and oil sump plug but nothing there and took it for a drive and everything seemed fine. I may have a slight suspicion that a i did something to oil radiator because i left a small bottle of oil under front bumper and lowered the car onto it even tho the bottle squished and did no visible damage... so im asking if there is posibilty that something may have happened to either lines or cooler. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks guys

Most likely is an issue with the oil level sensor unit. Check the plug on the side of the oil pan. You might have knocked it off.

Didn't MY2004 have an issue with the oil level sensor that would cause the oil light to turn on despite having enough oil?

It may be possible as I said it disappeared after second second start after oil change so it may appear again in the future but until the last change there were no issues with the sensor even if the oil was getting lower it never triggered light like this time

You might want to have a good look at the sensor. I would at least remove the plug and clean it to make sure the light doesn't come back on in the future.
