OBD Bluetooth Scan Tool

Just downloaded Dash Command, now im just trying to find out which scan chip is the best to pair with the RX8 and the app, with so many chips out there im not to sure which direction to steer, does anyone have any insight? Im using my IPAD Mini, as i am fabricating a custom dash installation for it.

The cheap $10 ones can be hit and miss. I have 2 one for the 8 and another for my ram but only 1 works on both.

Any you would recommend? I don't mind spending a few bucks more than 10-20 certainly I just want to make sure I won't run into compatibility issues or get a useless chip.

ahhhh
No I don't believe it does.

iOS isn't likely the best solution for what you want to do.

I'm not knocking Apple but it's pretty locked down and stuff like this is IMO more open source

Good luck

I got the iPad mini for free through a promo so I'm using it not only for obd2 but for multimedia purposes too, I found an obd sensor that works with iPad about 120$ after shipping
