My eight was starting just fine and after getting back in it later I noticed that I could not accelerate over 5,000 RPMs when going down the road so I assume that I had a clogged catalytic converter I removed the cat gutted it and replaced it then all of a sudden my motor wouldn't crank it just makes a spinning sound like the crankshaft is not spinning at all put a brand new starter on it to see if that was solved the issue still making a spinning sound pull the ignition coils and one of them that I pulled off looks like the center of the coil has holes in the bottom of it does that mean that I have bad plugs wires and coils that could be the problem as well as a corroded crankshaft sensor
I know how to do a d flooding procedure but what I'm saying is the the starter is not turning the flywheel at all the motor just spins when I turn the key over

Don't you have a thread on this already?
You're saying 2 contradictory things: the motor spins, but the flywheel doesn't spin. Are you saying the starter is turning but without turning the flywheel? If so, the starter includes a solenoid that engages the starter to the flywheel. If that isn't getting enough power or is stuck, you would have the starter spin by itself. I would get under the car and check what the starter is doing, and clean/reseat the battery + connection to the starter.

White spots on coils don't mean anything, but HOLES are obviously bad, are you saying you have holes?

The cat going out is itself an expensive symptom of bad ignition coils, if you have not replaced them in the last 30k, it would be a good idea. Another symptom is needing a new engine so definitely keep an eye on those.

Holes in the ignition coils is bad. Will need to likely replace those along with spark plugs and wires. If the engine is turning over, the starter is doing its job. Once you do get it running, you should get a compression test. Possible the bad cat and poor ignition system combined damaged the engine itself.

If you car is making a similar noise then your flywheel is bad.
You may want to test your starter first to see if it is good since pulling the trans is certainly more expensive.

Thats one huge run on sentence and is confusing to read. I would start over or edit your thread and add spacing and punctuation. Start with what you replaced, what you have found currently wrong or out of sorts and what the car is currently doing or not doing.

if I'm understanding you, I would first deflood the engine. Then replace the plugs, wires, and coils. If you suspect you have a faulty eccentric shaft position sensor, replace it. It can pass a resistance test and still be bad. You would need an oscilloscope to check it's waveform to confirm if its failed. Replace it if you are not getting spark or injector pulse.
