Hello all,
Ive had my rx8 for a few weeks now and i was having a lot of trouble with starting the car. I thought that the battery might have something to do with it so i upgraded to a optima. After i changed the battery i had the starter and alternator tested they all passed but my alternator was only generating 13.4 instead of 14 should i change it or is it normal for rx8 alternators to run a bit lower. Also the idle was really rough when i had the air conditioner on and when i came to a stop with the air on the car died. Do you think the alternator has anything to do with that? Also i just cleaned the MAF and the idle now sits perfectly at 800rpm when the air conditioner is off.
If anyone has any advice i would really appreciate it.
